Egg Freezing Process

The process of freezing eggs, taken from a woman's ovaries, for future use through the vitrification method is called oocyte cryopreservation. In this procedure, the eggs can be stored at -196 degrees Celsius for up to 5 years in accordance with the law.

In women, there is a decline in egg reserves after the age of 35. Therefore, if examinations and assessments conducted in women over 35 deem it appropriate, the process of egg freezing can be performed. Additionally, for young women facing cancer at an early age, preserving their eggs through the egg freezing process before starting treatments aimed at enabling them to have children in the future is possible.

While the egg freezing process is rare, no side effects have been identified except for rare cases of allergy to the administered medication, bleeding, and infection related to the operation.
