The term "genital aesthetic treatments" refers to procedures aimed at improving the appearance and function of the vulva region. Genital aesthetic treatments can be applied when structural abnormalities in the genital areas, sexual dysfunction, vaginal widening and sagging due to childbirth, urinary incontinence issues, darkening of the genital region, wrinkling, and skin sagging in the genital area, among other issues, are observed. Surgical operations such as vaginal tightening, inner labia aesthetics, correction of poor scars and folds over the clitoris can be performed, and laser technology may be used for procedures such as vaginal tightening and compression, vaginal rejuvenation, labia majora compression, labia minora compression, genital skin lightening, correction of urinary incontinence problems, and treatment of genital warts.
Genital aesthetic treatments with lasers do not require anesthesia. In these procedures, vaginal tissue is renewed, and the vagina is tightened. Laser genital aesthetic treatments include procedures such as genital area lightening, labiaplasty (surgery to reduce the size of the labia minora), permanent hymen repair (hymenoplasty), and vaginal tightening.
One of these procedures is laser vaginal tightening. In cases where surgical methods are not preferred, and when there is not excessive widening and sagging in the vagina, laser vaginal tightening may be preferred if there is a lack of sexual pleasure and sensitivity, difficulty achieving orgasm, vaginal dryness due to menopause, frequent vaginal infections, yeast infections, pain during sexual intercourse, and urinary incontinence problems. This treatment takes about 30 minutes and does not require anesthesia.
The laser labiaplasty method is especially preferred in patients at risk of bleeding. In this operation, the inner labia are cut with a laser. This treatment method removes sagging and excess parts of the large and sagging inner labia. Besides aesthetic concerns, sagging inner labia can cause pain during sexual intercourse. The laser labiaplasty procedure takes an average of 1 to 1.5 hours. It is crucial to follow antibiotic and cream treatments regularly after the operation. After the surgery, it is recommended not to take a bath for 2 days, not to swim in the sea or pool for 2 weeks, and not to engage in sexual intercourse for 1 month.
The laser genital whitening process involves the destruction of cells that produce melanin pigment, which causes darkening in the genital area. The treatment takes an average of half an hour, and the area is numbed with anesthetic cream. As a result of this procedure, there is an average lightening of the skin tone by approximately 30-40%.
For the treatment of stretch marks and the deformity they cause in areas such as the waist, hips, abdomen, breasts, arms, and legs due to puberty, excessive weight gain or loss, pregnancy, and hormonal changes, laser stretch mark treatment is used. With this application, the connective tissue is stimulated to revive, and the color change due to stretch marks can be reduced. Fractional carbon dioxide laser is often preferred for laser stretch mark treatment. Depending on the condition of the skin and stretch marks, 3-6 sessions may be required for treatment.
